revealed the Duster Détour concept car at the Johannesburg International Motor Show. Developed at the Bucharest design centre in conjunction with a Johannesburg design studio, Duster Détour has additional headlamps on the roof and grille, a chrome twin exhaust, black and orange 18″ wheels and two-tone bodywork: pearl yellow in front and matt grey at the rear.
After the launch of New Renault Duster
in South Africa in mid-September, the funky, futuristic Duster Détour couldn’t have come along at a better time, says Floyd Ramabulana, Renault South Africa product manager. We have had an excellent response from potential buyers, with very many people looking at the Duster range on our website and on the social networks.
Alongside the new concept car, Renault also put New Clio R.S. 200 EDC
and New Koleos on display in South Africa for the first time. Both models are scheduled for launch in the country in November.Renault
sold 7,942 vehicles in South Africa in 2012 and achieved market share of 2.1%. By the end of September 2013, Group sales stood at 8,434 units for market share of 2.1%. New Clio is clearly becoming very popular
on this market because it is already ranked among the top three in the A and B hatch segments only five months after the sales launch. Moreover, New Clio has just been nominated as one of the nine vehicles competing for the Car of the Year 2014 title alongside the Audi A3, Jaguar F-Type, Lexus IS 350, Mercedes A-Class, Peugeot 208, Porsche Cayman, Volkswagen Golf 7 and Volvo V40.
