The world would never have known Renault’s cheeky city car had it not been for the perseverance, pertinence – and impertinence – of its project director, Yves Dubreil, retired since 2010. Famed throughout the company for his outspokenness and ‘beard, pipe and braces’ combination worth more than any calling card, Yves Dubreil was also known for his drawings, using them to get his messages across with impact and influence even the weightiest decisions.
