This year, the focus on the Nissan is on design and accessible technolgy, with the New Nissan X-Trail and the Friend-me concept.
New Nissan X-Trail
With a new design inherited from Nissan’s rich 4×4 story, it combines, technology, efficiency and comfort. X-Trail introduces premium technology to a new area of the market, with LED headlights, Nissan Safety Shield and the new fully integrated, NissanConnect navigation and infotainment system.
Inside, the spacious interior has the option of two extra seats to make room for seven inside.Practical touches include rear side doors that open to almost 90 degrees.
As a high-volume global growth product built on the new jointly-developed Nissan/ Renault Common Module Family platform architecure, it is projected to be available in 190 countries around the world. After its global reveal, sales of the new X-Trail in Europe will be starting from July 2014 and it is expected to make a significant contribution the company’s mid-term business plan covering fiscal years 2011-2016.
Nissan Friend-Me Concept
Combining striking design with a premium interior, the Friend-Me concept car is an exploration of how the car of the future may look. Designed using the same process that sparked Nissan’s range of game-changing crossovers, Friend-Me showcases Nissan’s next-generation design language and explores the possibilities of a fully-connected, fully-interactive cabin.
Created around the needs and desires of permanently online passengers, Friend-Me is positioned itself as a hub for information and entertainment.
Nissan Personalisation Programme
Launched on the Juke range in 2012, the personalisation programme is introduced on new Note and new Micra, with more accessories and colour options to choose from. To accompany the launch of the new programme, Nissan is also introducing an innovative new 3D web configurator that offers buyers the opportunity to preview their design.
Nissan announces the production of a smartwatch designed specifically for drivers of Nissan Nismo cars. The Nissan Nismo Concept Watch will connect a driver to the car and will provide drivers with real-time biometric data. The Nissan Nismo Watch will allow drivers to monitor the efficiency of their vehicle with average speed and fuel consumption readings and to access vehicle performance data while on track but also to capture biometric data via a heart rate monitor..
